Ward <br />pointed that the proposed division would be in character with <br />other lots in the area. <br /> <br />Berry questioned whether additional land could be added to the <br />corner lot. Ward responded that additional land would cramp the <br />south side of the house. <br /> <br />Berry stated a concern that if a new house was built on the <br />corner that it would cramp the existing house. Ward responded <br />that there would be room for a house on the new lot. <br /> <br />DeBenedet questioned whether Ward was aware of the questions <br />which the Planning Commission had stated at a prior Planning <br />Commission meeting. Ward responded that he was not aware of <br />specific questions on this matter. <br /> <br />Goedeke questioned how this was originally platted. Dahlgren <br />replied that it was platted as though the existing house was not <br />there. <br /> <br />DeBenedet questioned the applicant if there was a pressing need <br />for action at this time. Ward stated that originally had a buyer <br />which he no longer has. Ward added that he needed to do it for a <br />buyer in the future. <br /> <br />Stokes asked what the northsouth measurement of the house was. <br />Ward responded that it is 36 feet. <br /> <br />Stokes pointed out that it appears that more land could be given <br />to Lot 16 from Lot 15. <br /> <br />Johnson closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Dahlgren said that the Commission could recommend approval of <br />moving the lot line 10 feet from the old house and that prior to <br />the City Council meeting applicant could check out whether or not <br />this would work on the site. Johnson stated that she would agree <br />with that approach. <br /> <br />DeBenedet stated that there was a need for greater width on the <br />corner and that an 85 foot lot should be provided. <br /> <br />DeBenedet moved, Berry seconded to recommend approval with the <br />condition that the corner lot (lot 16) should be divided as an <br />
