ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION

Paget 6

Wednesday, May 3, 1989

issues and that the matter should be continued to allow more time
for negotiations.

DeBenedet moved and Berry seconded to continue this matter to
June 7, 1989 to allow staff to work out the water line loping
issue and the curve of the road.

Johnson stated she could support the motion.

stokes asked Mr. Howe to comment on the impact of the continuance
and if there was a way to resolve these issues.

Howe stated that he had no problem with the curve modifications
and that he would like to keep going because delaying the
decision a month would be a problem for him.

Johnson asked about the water main issue.

Howe replied that he agrees with the concept of looping and that
he has volunteered to pay for the portion of the line on his
property.

Johnson pointed out that the Commission has to think about the
whole City and pointed out that others have been required to loop
water lines as part of their project.

Goedeke asked if the water line could be looped by going straight
north.

Keel replied that the loop could go straight north but would
impact this particular project.

Stokes suggested that the Commission approve the project subject
to looping the main and allow staff to determine how it is to be
looped.

DeBenedet stated that it would be better to resolve the issue
now. DeBenedet added that it is a good plat and that there
should be no delay after the water line issue is resolved.

Howe stated that if they have to, they will pick up the cost for
the water line if the City gets the easement.

Barb Daly, daughter of Myra Rice, 1957 Roselawn, stated that she
has come to the meeting from Illinois and would like action
tonight so she knows what to do.

DeBenedet and Berry agreed to withdraw their motion.
