That the curvature of the road be modified to meet city <br />subdivision standards. <br /> <br />2. That the applicant construct improvements according to plans <br />and specifications submitted and approved by staff. <br /> <br />3. Dahlgren outlined the parking changes and <br />the change in the access point. <br /> <br />George Bestrom introduced the team representing the applicant and <br />summarized the discussions that have been occurring with MTC and <br />RTB concerning transit facilities on the site. Bestrom pointed <br />out that they are reviewing alternatives and their intent is to <br />resolve issues on a reasonable basis in a timely manner. <br /> <br />The architect for the project explained the planned improvements <br />to the center including a total interior update, redevelopment of <br />the old Dayton's store, parking ramps, new entrances, skylights, <br />and new gabel glass entrance features. The Architect explained <br />the model of the proposed parking ramps and pointed out that <br />there would be three times the typical lighting in the ramp (the <br />4 foot candle range proposed) and that there would be a high <br />clearance which would facilitate safety and visibility in the <br />ramp. The architect showed an example of the proposed exterior <br />building material for the ramp and showed slides of the <br />construction currently occurring at Southdale. <br /> <br />Dean Bailey, the landscape architect for the project, summarized <br />the landscaping improvements including the new planting areas, <br />
