<br />ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />Page' 8 <br /> <br />Wednesday, January 3, 1990 <br /> <br />Roseville Square Limited Partnership request for a sign variance <br />at 2803 Lincoln Drive. <br /> <br />Jopke stated that this application has been withdrawn. <br /> <br />DeBenedet moved and Goedeke seconded to accept the withdrawal of <br />this item. <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />DeBenedet, Goedeke, Wietecki, Berry, <br />Johnson <br /> <br />Nays: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Planninq File 2051 <br /> <br />VFw/city request for a setback variance and special use permit <br />for site plan approval at 1149 Woodhill Drive. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Dahlgren summarized the location, history and proposed project. <br />Dahlgren talked about the structure and how it is to be laid out. <br /> <br />Berry stated concern about the parking in the area. Berry said <br />she has noticed a large number of cars on the street. <br /> <br />Bob Bierschied, Director of Parks and Recreation, stated that <br />parking has worked out in the past and that parking will be <br />expanded. <br /> <br />Craig Purdy, Manager of the VFW, stated that the time the field <br />is in use is not a busy time for the VFW. Purdy also stated that <br />the exterior of the new building would be the same as the <br />existing building and they have a 10 foot wide area for <br />shrubbery. <br /> <br />Johnson closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Goedeke commented that it is a good choice and a nice cooperative <br />between the city and the VFW. <br /> <br />Goedeke moved and DeBenedet seconded to approve the variance to <br />the rear yard setback and special use permit with the following <br />conditions: <br /> <br />1. That sidewalks are constructed along Woodhill Drive. <br />2. That perimeter curbing is provided around the proposed <br />parking area. <br />
