ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION

page# 4

Wednesday, March 7, 1990

stokes questioned what is currently at this site.

Waldron replied that it is an old school that can be deemed as
obsolete. Repairs to the roof alone would exceed $100,000. The
future plans of NCR would create a higher tax base and jobs. The
job retention and creation due to the expansion of NCR would be
an asset to Roseville.

DeBenedet stated that NCR may base its decision on what
community offers the best incentive package.

DeBenedet questioned what would happen if NCR moved out of this
location.

Waldron replied that the potential new users may be state
agencies which would be tax exempt.

DeBenedet questioned if this district would apply to the school
site only.

Waldron replied yes and that it is currently zoned B-1.

DeBenedet questioned what the comprehensive plan reflected
regarding the site.

Goedeke questioned if NCR currently owns the property.

Dahlgren replied that the property is zoned for limited business.
Dahlgren stated that the land was rezoned years ago from R-1 to
B-l.

Johnson read a portion of proposed resolution outlining Planning
Commission findings. Johnson said that the resolution states
that the districts are consistent with the comprehensive plan.

Johnson added that there is the ability to pool funds today which
must be protected.

MOTION

Berry moved and Goedeke seconded to recommend approval of the
resolution.

Roll Call:

Ayes:

DeBenedet, Goedeke, Berry, Johnson

Nayes: None
Abstain: stokes

Planninq File 2055
