ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION

Page4/: 7

Wednesday, March 7, 1990

Goedeke questioned what the trees would be like that will be used
for landscaping.

Rosene replied that the only low landscaping will be used near
the entrance.

DeBenedet questioned if the entrances are too narrow.

Keel stated that there is a maximum driveway requirement but not
a minimum requirement.

stokes suggested that the City deed the land near the pond to BRA
Partners.

Keel stated that in this case, the City would be more apt to
retain the land and develop an agreement with BRA for use of the
land.

Berry commented that she is pleased to see the use of large
evergreen trees, and the trash enclosure location inside the
building.

Berry questioned if there is space planned for recycling
separation.

Rosene replied that there will be room for recycling separation.

stokes commended BRA for addressing all items.
Johnson closed the public hearing.

DeBenedet wanted to address the issue of landscaping within the
parking area. DeBenedet stated that landscaping should be
aesthetically pleasing. DeBenedet commented that people do not
like to plow around cement islands and pointed out that in the
future, the City is looking at a 5% parking lot landscaping
requirement.

DeBenedet stated that he is concerned with private use of public
property because lawsuits and disagreements from possible
injuries could arise. DeBenedet suggested that item d under the
conditions should include that there be no improvements made on
the City land.

stokes commented that this is what he was thinking when he said
that the City should provide BRA the land.
