Presentation Rick Jopke introduced the item pointing out that the Council has asked the Planning Commission to conduct a public hearing to provide citizen input concerning Mr. Adel Alwan' s request for license for an amusement room/game room with amusement devices and pool tables. Howard Dahlgren summarized the location of the site, the surrounding land uses, and the request. Adel Alwan summarized the proposed use, pointing out that it is not a pool hall. Mr. Alwan stated that it would have video rentals, video games, takeout food and snacks. He stated that at most there would be two pool tables. Bob Bancroft, a resident at the Villa Park development on County Road B, asked how many people would be served at a time, what the age group of the users would be, if food would be served, and how much parking would be provided. Alwan responded that this was a new business and he is not sure how many customers would be served. Alwan pointed out that he would anticipate that customers would come from walking distance and that it would appeal to teenagers. Mr. Alwan pointed out that he would be on the site and there would be no smoking on the site and no loitering. Alwan pointed out that he would serve gyro sandwiches and soft drinks on the site.
