That the trash enclosure be constructed of material to match <br />the building, that the walls be 7 feet high and that there <br />be a gate on the south side. <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />Berry, Goedeke, <br />Wietecki, Johnson <br /> <br />stokes, <br /> <br />Roberts, <br /> <br />Nayes: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Planninq File 2068 <br /> <br />Adel Alwan approval of license for a pool hall at 2180 North Dale <br />street. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Rick Jopke introduced the item pointing out that the Council has <br />asked the Planning Commission to conduct a public hearing to <br />provide citizen input concerning Mr. Adel Alwan' s request for <br />license for an amusement room/game room with amusement devices <br />and pool tables. <br /> <br />Howard Dahlgren summarized the location of the site, the <br />surrounding land uses, and the request. <br /> <br />Adel Alwan summarized the proposed use, pointing out that it is <br />not a pool hall. Mr. Alwan stated that it would have video <br />rentals, video games, takeout food and snacks. He stated that at <br />most there would be two pool tables. <br /> <br />Bob Bancroft, a resident at the Villa Park development on County <br />Road B, asked how many people would be served at a time, what the <br />age group of the users would be, if food would be served, and how <br />much parking would be provided. Alwan responded that this was a <br />new business and he is not sure how many customers would be <br />served. Alwan pointed out that he would anticipate that <br />customers would come from walking distance and that it would <br />appeal to teenagers. Mr. Alwan pointed out that he would be on <br />the site and there would be no smoking on the site and no <br />loitering. Alwan pointed out that he would serve gyro sandwiches <br />and soft drinks on the site. <br />
