<br />ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />Pagel 8 <br /> <br />Wednesday, May 2, 1990 <br /> <br />Hutton stated that he thinks the city is not asking too much of <br />the applicants and as an area resident he is happy the City is <br />regulating permits of this type. <br /> <br />Aneesa stein, an architectural student was present and questioned <br />where the entrances to the store building were and if there is <br />enough room for a wheel chair to go around the merchandise and in <br />between the steel post and the store wall. <br /> <br />Johnson questioned how the applicant is dealing with the needs of <br />the handicapped on this site. Lutz stated that she has not seen <br />a handicapped person on site so she could not answer this <br />question. <br /> <br />Berry commented that this building is unaccessible to handicapped <br />individuals. Lutz commented that there are very few handicapped <br />people that use their stations. <br /> <br />Goedeke questioned if it is possible for the applicant to close <br />the front side of the pallet to eliminate a tripping hazard. <br />Lutz stated that she is meeting with a manager tomorrow about a <br />new pallet that will be closed on the front side. <br /> <br />Johnson closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />stokes questioned what the dimensions would be for this display <br />of outside merchandise. Lutz stated that each display would be <br />ten feet in length and six feet in width. <br /> <br />DeBenedet questioned if the height would be to the bottom of the <br />window. Lutz stated that it would be to the height of the bottom <br />of the windows and would total 60 square feet of storage on each <br />side. <br /> <br />MOTION <br /> <br />Goedeke moved and Berry seconded to recommend approval of the <br />Special Use Permit with the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. That the height of the display not exceed the bottom of the <br />windows. <br /> <br />2. That the storage on the north side be eliminated between the <br />door and the handicapped ramp. <br /> <br />3. That the depth of the display not exceed 3 feet. <br />
