County Rd. C. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Hasek summarized the site location and proposed project. Hasek <br />pointed out that they have a new site plan and parking layout. <br />Hasek added that landscaping is sufficient and that lighting will <br />be consistent with surrounding buildings. Hasek stated that a <br />brick exterior will be used and trash will be enclosed. Hasek <br />explained that the requirements for landscaping in parking areas <br />and pointed out that he measures parking lot landscaping <br />differently than Dahlgren. Hasek stated that using Dahlgren's <br />method, a little over 2 percent of the parking area would be <br />landscaped, whereas with his method, there would be about 4 <br />percent. <br /> <br />DeBenedet questioned the method of calculating landscaping. <br />Hasek stated that he would include the corners of the lot and <br />part of building grounds, while Dahlgren would not. <br /> <br />Gerald Richards of General Mills restaurants stated that they are <br />not using a prototype design and that they have designed a <br />specific building for the site. Richards pointed out that <br />landscaping has been increased near the building and that all <br />parking stalls are near a green area. Richards stated that the <br />lot has three more parking stalls than required in the <br />ordinance. Richards also stated that they are open to <br />suggestions for the vegetation types. <br /> <br />DeBenedet questioned whether one could see the roof top <br />mechanical units. Richards answered that you could not see it. <br />Hasek stated it would be no problem. <br /> <br />Berry stated she was concerned about the landscaping. Dogwoods <br />aren't compatible with this climate. Richards stated that they <br />would work with the city on the landscaping. <br />
