ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION

Page 3

Wednesday, July 11, 1990

Berry questioned why the handicapped stalls weren't closer to the
entry way. Richards pointed to where they were on the design.

Berry suggested that they move the handicap stalls as close to
the door as possible, with accompanying curb cuts. Hasek
commented that they might incur a loss of a parking stall. Berry
commented this would be no problem.

Roberts complimented the developer for the work they have done to
improve the project. Roberts questioned what would occur on the
space between the street and landscaping on the southside.
Richards stated that he thought it would be grass.

DeBenedet questioned on irrigation plans.
they will irrigate.

Richards stated that

stokes commented on the pylon sign and whether the Olive Garden
had considered a more aesthetically pleasing ground sign.
Richards asked what the ordinance allows. Stokes stated that
they were in compliance but that a ground sign would be better.

Richards commented that they have a variety of sign designs, and
if a pylon sign obstructed another sign or if their sign would be
obstructed, they would consider changes or other options to a
pylon sign.

Stokes questioned what the sign would look like. Richards
stated that the lettering would be similar to the wall sign
pictured architecture rendering of the building. Richards added
that it would be an attractive sign and that they would work
with the city. Stokes commented that he would like to see what
the sign looked like.

Berry commented that they could bring the sign design to the
Planning Commission at a later date. Berry questioned Richards
on the color of the sign. Richards said he would bring in sign
options to the Staff.

Berry suggested that they bring in sign design to the City
Council. Stokes commented that was a good idea.

Roberts asked about signs on the frontage road. Richards stated
that perhaps a small sign on the backside so that people would
know where they were going. Richards said it would be quite
small.
