ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION

Page 9

Wednesday, July 11, 1990

Stokes commented on how can one measure the rate. Keel stated
that the ordinance doesn't address rate but direction and damage
to a home.

DeBenedet questioned on whether there was a storm sewer on County
Road B-2. Keel stated that there was with a catch basin on
Cohansey. DeBenedet commented that the gutters could be designed
so that all the water is directed to the front.

Johnson stated her apprehensions on moving ahead.

Berry commented that they have no grounds to deny permit. The
size is more than required, the promise that this lot would never
be developed is unfortunate. Johnson stated that she has
reservations, and wants to make sure all options are covered.

Kaufman stated that all the neighbors have water in their
basements during the spring time.

Hasek stated there is potential for similar development on the
adjacent lot and diagramed how the two adjacent lots could be
combined and developed which would yield six lots.

Johnson stated that it was unfortunate but the lot split was
legal. Berry stated that splits like this in the past have
worked out. DeBenedet commented that the homeowners should
consult with engineering about grading.

MOTION

DeBenedet moved and Berry seconded to recommend that the lot
split be approved with the following conditions:

1. That staff provides analysis of the drainage issues to the
Council.
2. That the additional assessments be paid.

Roll Call:

Ayes:

Berry, DeBenedet, Johnson, Roberts,
stokes, Wietecki

Nayes:

None

Planninq File 2072

Marna Mellberg request vacation of a drainage easement at 1220
Josephine Road.
