9

ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION
Wednesday, December 5, 1990

Roll Call:

Ayes:

DeBenedet, Berry, Goedeke, Stokes,
Roberts, Johnson

Nays:

None

Planninq File 2179

John Palmer/South Oaks Partnership request for a variance at 1080
West County Road D.

Presentation

Shardlow summarized the history of the project and the
outstanding issues.

John Palmer stated that they will move the sign or apply for a
variance and that the curbing will be done within one year.

Johnson asked if the applicant would agree to complete the
curbing with a year. Palmer replied that the City should just
enforce its existing requirements and not attach this as a
condition on the variance. Palmer stated that his preference was
to approve the variance clean so it is not questioned by a title
company.

Shardlow stated that the minutes should reflect that the curb
would be provided within the next construction season. Shardlow
said that he wouldn't recommend that it be a condition on the
variance, but that it was important that a letter of
understanding be submitted.

Johnson closed the public hearing.

Roberts stated that the minutes should reflect that the issues
with the signage and the curbing will be resolved through City
enforcement and that the applicant should submit a letter
agreeing to resolve those issues.

MOTION

Roberts moved and Goedeke seconded to recommend approval of John
Palmer/South Oaks Partnership's request for a variance at 1080
West County Road D to allow the existing apartment building to
exist at its present location based on practical difficulty.

Roll Call:

Ayes:

DeBenedet, Berry, Goedeke, Stokes,
Roberts, Johnson

Nays:

None
