ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION
Wednesday February 13, 1991

Page 5

Planninq File 2178

Tanurb request for an amended special use permit for site plan
approval at the Rosedale Commons Shopping Center at 2480 Fairview
Avenue.

Presentation

Shardlow gave the history of the proj ect and summarized the
current proposal. Shardlow pointed out that this review was
limited in scope and related only to the addition of a loading
dock at the rear of the structure. Shardlow highlighted the
relevant issues and how Tanurb has addressed all concerns.

Shardlow highlighted a recent problem with the addition of a
satellite dish on the roof of the structure which was not
consistent with what was represented by the company that
installed the dish. Shardlow pointed out that a letter has been
sent to Tanurb Co. indicating that this problem must be
corrected.

Keel stated that there were no engineering concerns related to
this proposal.

Dan Ross, from Tanurb Co., stated that he had no formal
presentation but would be available for questions.

Shardlow added that the applicant had increased the height of the
brick screen wall adjacent to the loading dock, such that semi
trucks would be totally screened from view except at the entrance
to the loading dock.

Johnson questioned what new signage would be added.

Ross stated that there would be some new signage for the new
tenant but it would be subject to the same sign criteria and
lettering restrictions that are currently in place at the center.

Johnson asked if there would be conversion of mall space.

Ross answered that the sidewalk in front of the proposed new
tenant space would be converted into store space and be similar
