ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION

Paget

9

April 10, 1991

Goedeke moved and Stokes seconded to continue consideration of
this matter until May 8, 1991. wietecki suggested that the
motion be amended to specify that the applicant work to conform
to the zoning standards applicable to the current 1-2 zoning
district. DeBenedet stated a concern that this might prejudice
the review and decision of the Planning Commission. Wietecki
stated that the purpose would be to judge the application against
the current standards and not against the Twin Lakes
redevelopment area requirements.

Shardlow pointed out that staff would be happy to meet and work
with the applicant but because of the timeframe necessary to
develop plans and review them, that it may not be possible to be
ready for the next meeting.

The makers of the motion accepted the changes to review against
the current zoning and to leave out a time limit.

Roll Call:

Ayes:

Stokes, Goedeke, Roberts, Wietecki,
Harms, Thomas, DeBenedet

Nayes:

None

Planninq File 2227

Ross Company, Inc. request for a special use permit for amended
site plan approval and variance to the zoning ordinance at 2480
Fairview Avenue North.

Presentation

Shardlow gave a history of the project and summarized the
proposed special use permit and variances being requested.

Stokes questioned who would be responsible for maintenance of the
fence. Shardlow replied that it would be the applicant's
responsibility to maintain the fence.

wietecki questioned why the fence might not totally screen the
loading areas. Shardlow pointed out that because of elevation
changes, certain small areas may be still visible.

wietecki clarified that the discrepancies on screening would be
fairly minor and based on topography and where viewed from.
Shardlow agreed and stated that he was comfortable that
sufficient screening would be provided.

Goedeke asked if there would need to be an agreed upon site line
