<br />ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />June 10, 1992 <br /> <br />Paget <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />Shardlow presented ordinance requirements and summarized the <br />proposal. <br /> <br />Rick Eddleston, representing Altra Auto Rental explained the <br />company's operation and that they have recently purchased a lot to <br />store vehicles on in Golden Valley. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Issues discussed included complaints received, amount of parking <br />needed for Al tra and other tenants in the building, cars and <br />trailers parked on Woodbridge, types of trailers used, length of <br />Altra's lease, the need for a variance, need for public notice of <br />a variance, and whether Altra has investigated other sites. <br /> <br />No citizens appeared. <br /> <br />MOTION <br /> <br />Goedeke moved and Stokes seconded a motion to recommend approval of <br />Altra Auto Rental request for a special use permit to allow the <br />existing auto rental agency to remain at 2353 Rice Street with the <br />following conditions: <br /> <br />l. The number of Altra cars on site is limited to ten on weekends <br />and five on Monday through Friday at the locations shown on <br />the site plan submitted. <br /> <br />2. Altra cars will not be parked on Woodbridge street or other <br />adjacent public streets. <br /> <br />3. Transport trailers and any other maintenance equipment will <br />not be stored in the parking lot, yard, or on the adjacent <br />public streets. <br /> <br />4. The special use permit is in effect only as long as surplus <br />parking is present based on actual usage of building. <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />Harms, Thomas, <br />DeBenedet <br /> <br />stokes, <br /> <br />Goedeke, <br /> <br />Nayes: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Planninq File 2375 <br /> <br />Ramsey County Department of Public Health request for an interim <br />use permit to allow the property located along and to the east of <br />Kent street, north of Larpenteur Avenue to become the location of <br />a temporary household hazardous waste collection site. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Shardlow summarized the proposal. <br />
