Roll Call: Ayes: Rengel, Roberts, Harms, Wall, Wietecki Nayes: Thomas Thomas indicated her dissenting vote was based on that fact that she would prefer that the applicant seek an interim use permit rather than a special use permit. The Planning Commission meeting recessed at 9: 15 p.m. The Planning Commission meeting reconvened at 9:25 p.m. Planning Files 2615 Ac'cent Companies request for a special use permit for the leasing of semi-tractor trailers at 2507 Walnut Street. Presentation FaIk highlighted the application. Jim Trucker, Ac'cent Companies, discussed the galvanized roofing materials to be used and the proposed curbing on the site. He added that the facility is used for truck leasing and there may be as many as 200 vehicles on site during peak times but most vehicles are gone for a week at a time. There are security cameras on the site and the facility is open 24 hours. Jerry Tusche, Architect for Ac'cent Companies, explained that a variety of plant materials, that will survive the extreme weather changes, will be used for screening. Issues discussed included the amount of parking on the site, future zoning for the area, drainage issues on the site (ponding or storm sewers), the number of trucks and trailers on the site, traffic generation, screening, perimete~ fencing, the desire for some other form of fencing other than cyclone and barbed wire, and the need for additional traffic
