ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION
Wednesday, January 12, 1994

11

Jay McNamara, 1751 Skillman, asked for clarification regarding a wet pond versus a
dry pond. Lon Aune explained the differences.

Ed Cunningham, 1857 Eldridge, asked for clarification regarding snow removal from
the site and where it would be place, and whether the pond would be used as a snow
dump. He also asked where excess material removed from the site would be placed.
Mr. Jensen replied that snow would be piled along the edges of the road and that
excess material is not expected on the site, and if it is generated as core soils, that soil
would be removed from the site.

Dick Carlson, 2238 Ferriswood Lane, asked how the fire lanes would be kept clear in
winter.

Cliff Yentes, 1844 Skillman, asked for clarification regarding parking and access to the
townhomes from the church parking lot in the winter with snow piles adjacent to the
parking lot. Mr. Jensen explained that a stairway will be constructed from the parking
lot to the housing units' driveway.

A question was asked by a resident from Eldridge regarding air pollution problems and
the impact on school children and the elderly, and another question regarding the
amount of mosquitoes that would be generated or created in a ponding area.

Don Holmgren, 2166 F ems Lane, asked what was the diversity of homes being
constructed within Roseville during the past two years? He believes that most units are
starter homes similar to the current ones being proposed at Corpus Christi. Kit Powell,
a member of the Waldorf School, asked if there would be added MTC stops and
whether there would be any impact on the transportation system? She also asked for
clarification regarding how long it would take to construct the units, when it would be
started, and the safety of construction adjacent to a school site. Mr. Jensen explained
that construction would begin in the summer with four weeks of grading and within two
months grading would be done and the road base would be in. The buildings will be
constructed in the late summer and completed in January and February with
landscaping to be completed in the Spring of 1995. It is approximately a one-year
cycle and all landscaping would be irrigated as a final construction operation.
