<br />ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Wednesday, January 12, 1994 <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />Joe Hemek, 1853 Skillman, asked for clarification regarding the shared parking with <br />the school as well as the church. Jensen explained that 60 of the 90 spaces are <br />currently used by Waldorf during the day. Member Harms expressed concern <br />regarding the parking balance in the day versus the evening especially with the school <br />using 60 spaces during the day. <br /> <br />Joyce Millner , Waldorf School, asked how the parking lot would be policed during the <br />school day. <br /> <br />Sara Wright, 1712 Eldridge, asked how the shared parking would be used in the <br />evening during the summer when softball players park in the church lot and use the <br />park across Fairview Avenue. Jensen responded that the entire parking lot will be <br />realigned and restriped to reduce racing vehicles through the parking lot. Member <br />Rengel asked why the developer didn't buy more land from the church in order to <br />provide parking on the site instead of provide a shared parking area? <br /> <br />Karen Lucas, 1863 Skillman, stated that the spill-over of parking creates land values <br />that should be taxed appropriately. <br /> <br />Ching Lee, 1842 Eldridge, expressed concern over the safety of school children <br />adjacent to the parking area. <br /> <br />Qwen Pedigry, 1751 Skillman, asked the Commission to clarify what constitutes the <br />grounds for a requested rezoning. <br /> <br />Greg Goggins, 1812 Eldridge, asked the Commission if it was correct to rezone the R-l <br />zone in light of the proposed higher density residential uses which may be constructed <br />in the Twin Lakes area 1.5 miles to the north along F airview Avenue. <br /> <br />Bud Kantfy, 2025 Fairview, expressed concern over the busyness of Fairview Avenue <br />and expressed concern regarding safety of children near the road system. <br /> <br />Kit Powell, Waldorf School, expressed concern regarding the parking spaces available <br />for the school and children in the lot. She also expressed concern regarding the noise, <br />the morning rush hour in the parking lot, and the loss of green space. <br />
