<br />Planning Commission Meeting Minutes <br />March 9, 1994 <br /> <br />John Shardlow paraphrased the comprehensive plan issues, the Vision <br />Statement within the residential section of the comprehensive plan, the <br />residential goals, and explained Policy #8 of the Residential Policies. <br /> <br />John Shardlow also read into the record the March 9, 1994 letter from John <br />Borgstrom, an adjoining neighbor to the east. (This letter will be attached to <br />the back of the minutes.) <br /> <br />John Shardlow summarized the consultant recommendation to change the <br />land use from low-density residential to medium-density residential on the <br />comprehensive plan, and to talk to the American Legion regarding its plans in <br />the future. In addition, the consultant recommends connections from this <br />project to Dale Street as the land becomes available and expansion of the <br />medium-density residential to Dale Street on the comprehensive plan. <br /> <br />Keith Wietecki asked how many acres in total could be considered? <br />Shardlow responded 9 1/2 to 10 acres. <br /> <br />A general discussion ensued regarding the comparison between this project <br />and the Concordia project. <br /> <br />Member Thomas asked for clarification regarding the reasons for extending <br />the road links east and west. Shardlow responded that a number of road exits <br />provide for better traffic distribution. <br /> <br />Member Thomas asked for clarification regarding the treatment of water <br />within the impondments. Shardlow responded that the study has not been <br />completed and there are few answers at this time. Member Thomas also <br />asked what the future was for the Borgstrom home located closer to the <br />townhome roads than any of the proposed townhomes. Shardlow responded <br />that Borgstrom is interested in selling this lot for this project. Borgstrom's lot <br />would support an additional five townhomes adjacent to the townhome road. <br /> <br />Member Wall asked for clarification regarding the homes to the west of the <br /> <br />3 <br />
