Planning Commission Meeting Minutes April 13, 1994 consideration at the May 23rd meeting. MOTION: Member Thomas moved, seconded by Member Wall, to amend the motion on page 8 and page 9 within the Aprill3 minutes regarding denial of change of Comprehensive Plan to read, "The Planning Commission recommends a change in the Comprehensive Plan designation including the Kehr property and all properties east of Kehr to Dale Street, from County Road C on the North to Central Park on the South to be redesignated from low density to medium density on the Comprehensive Plan Map; and the Legion property to be redesignated from institutional uses to low density residential uses. " Member Roberts stated he will vote opposed to the plan change, consistent with the Aprill3th meeting. Member Harms stated she will vote opposed to the plan change, consistent with the last meeting. Member Sandstrom stated he will vote opposed to the plan because of the traffic flow impacts on the adjoining single-family areas if road systems are connected to Rose Place. Member Sandstrom asked if an amendment to the motion could be accepted in which the development would be required to use the PUD zoningformat in which traffic would be regulated in such a way so as to move away from the single-family areas, not into the areas, thus reducing the mixing of traffic in the neighborhood. Member Wall stated that there is no clear idea if the traffic will have an impact at this time; it is speculation. Member Rengel stated that the information regarding the plat, PUD, and any other changes is premature and that the Commission could recommend that no road cross the Legion property.
