<br />Planning Commission Meeting Minutes <br />April 13, 1994 <br /> <br />the low traffic on the deadend cul-de-sac. He asked if a formal response had <br />been made by the American Legion. The staff stated no response had been <br />received. <br /> <br />Harold Vancycle, 686 County Road C, stated that if the land use to the east <br />ofKehr is not approved, what impact will this have on the Kehr project. <br />Member Thomas stated there will be no impact on the Kehr project since the <br />hearing is to expand the area to the east. <br /> <br />AI Jenson, 690 County Road C, stated he was opposed to the land use change <br />because the Jenson and Vancycle properties would become an island and <br />property values would decline. Member Wall asked if the proposal included <br />his property instead of leaving it as an island, would he be more accepting. <br />Jenson stated he would not, except if the developer would move his house to <br />another site. <br /> <br />Vic Brodt, 444 Rose Place, asked when this land use change process would <br />stop. <br /> <br />Bruce Arnold, 2535 Aladdin Street, asked the Commission if they had <br />previously made up their mind regarding this project. Member Thomas <br />explained the Comprehensive Plan and the difference between it and zoning <br />for the area. <br /> <br />Bill Howard, 2550 Fisk, stated that such a land use change would create high <br />rises and higher population in the area which would a bring higher crime rate, <br />and there would be a problem with reduction in the quality of life. <br /> <br />Steve Vitalle stated he was opposed to the land use change. <br /> <br />Clare Larson, 773 Rose Place, stated he was opposed to higher density, <br />especially since the entire area is single family, and he expressed concern <br />with the traffic. Member Wall asked Larson where would he live if he could <br />not keep up his house? Larson responded he could not answer that question, <br /> <br />6 <br />
