City of Roseville Planning Commission Minutes
May 11, 1994

Member Harms asked if the curb and gutter could be added in five to eight
years as in some other projects the city has reviewed. City Planner Falk
stated this has been allowed in other projects and may be appropriate at this
location.

Member Sandstrom stated that the city should look at different alternatives
for water management on this site.

Member Wall asked how many new employees would be located at this
improved location? Mr. Lon Musolf responded that there would be no new
employees, but the site will continue to employ 10 to 12 full-time employees.
Member Wall expressed his support for the project, stating that this was a
good business and very compatible with the adjoining areas.

Chairman Keith Wietecki asked for comments from the public. There were
none.

MOTION: Member Wietecki moved, seconded by Member Wall, to
recommend approval of a variance to allow a 31-foot setback (a 9-foot
variance) for the front property line with the condition that there be no
painted block on the building, a recommended rear yard setback variance to 0
feet (a 5-foot variance), curb and gutter be installed within 5 years unless, the
staff can develop alternative water management systems, and that the site
landscaping include evergreens.

Roll call: Ayes:

Sandstrom, Rengel, Thomas, Wall, Wietecki,
Harms.

Nayes: None

Abstained: Roberts

12
