<br />1) A variance to allow for 44 percent of the site to be covered with building rather than the <br />code requirement of 30 percent. <br /> <br />2) A variance to the parking lot setback requirements of 40 feet; thereby, allowing the <br />existing parking to remain 10 feet rrom the right-of-way. <br /> <br />3) A variance to the building design standards to allow for color-compatible, painted <br />materials, brick pilasters, and architectural details along the north existing warehouse wall <br />to be used, in lieu of all new brick or other complimentary materials. <br /> <br />These variances are subject to the five staff engineering conditions, dated 9-9-94, and subject to <br />the staff working with Pacific Mutual Door and the neighbors regarding the truck headlights, <br />truck safety, review of the landscape planting plan to provide coniferous vegetation within the <br />landscape plan. Chairman Kieth Wietecki opened the public hearing and <br />requested a background report rrom City Planner Michael Falk. Michael Falk noted that <br />Metro Paper Recovery and the City ofRoseville have completed an acquisition agreement <br />in which the city would acquire 2 acres oflow land adjacent to the west side of the Metro <br />Paper Recovery building. Metro Paper Recovery requires the use of exterior storage and <br />mixing bunkers for recyclable materials. The City Code requires that industrial areas' <br />outdoor storage is not allowed or must be screened. Metro Paper Recovery has requested <br /> <br />6 <br />
