<br />Keller, 1255 Josephine Road, stated that additional public notice should be provided when <br />the Planning Commission intends to gather comment on the formal Ordinance. He also <br />asked for clarification regarding the ability to create a duplex and expand the deck into a <br />year-round room on the site. He explained the past history of the homes in his area and <br />how they are set back 35 feet from the lake. Mr. Keller asked for further clarification <br />rrom the staff as to how the Ordinance would apply in the future. The staff will respond <br />after the meeting. Mr. Bill Cushman, 1265 Josephine Road, stated that Lake Josephine <br />should have ordinances which are similar on both shorelines in that the north shore is <br />within the City of Shoreview. He asked if the City had worked with the City of Shoreview <br />to prepare a consistent code. Mr. Welsch responded that "yes" the City had reviewed the <br />Ordinance and discussed it with the Shoreview staff Mr. Cushman asked for clarification <br />regarding the timing of permits and the request for inspections of structures along the lake <br />shore. He expressed concern with the ability of inspectors to inspect and stop work when <br />a structure is in violation of the code. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission continued the hearing and discussion of the Shoreline <br />Ordinance to the October 12, 1994 meeting and requested the Technical Review <br />Committee and the staff to clarify issues discussed by the Commission at the meeting. <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />Wall, Sandstrom, Rengel, Harms, Wietecki <br /> <br />Nays: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Abstain: <br /> <br />Harms <br /> <br />8. <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />Resolution of Thanks to Rich McNamara <br /> <br />Community Development Director, Dennis Welsch, explained to the Commission that <br />Rich McNamara, a valued member of the City staff responsible for most of the mapping <br />and statistical work that supported the Comprehensive Planning Effort in 1993 and 94 was <br />leaving to assume a new position as the Assistant Administrator for the City of Oakdale. <br /> <br />Chairman Wietecki moved, seconded by Member Sandstrom, to offer a Resolution dated <br />September 14, 1994, which congratulated and thanked Rich McNamara for his assistance <br />with the Planning Commission and staff <br /> <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9/14b/94 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION <br />TO ROSEVILLE'S ORIGINAL GIS DIRECTOR AND DATA COORDINATOR <br /> <br />RICH McNAMARA <br /> <br />8 <br />
