Mr. Falk pointed out that
Simpson Leasing has formerly operated at the corner of Snelling Avenue and Lydia
Avenue in Roseville and is being relocated because of the College Properties
development on that site. Mr. Falk pointed out that the proposed site is an existing office
building, adjacent to the Hamline Shopping Center. The proposal would involve a
maximum of five vehicles for lease on the site. Mr. Falk pointed out that the proposal
would meet the City's conditions for automobile leasing operations, that there would be
no Engineering concerns. Mr. Falk stated that it is staffs recommendation that the
special use permit be approved with the stipulation that the maximum number of vehicles
stored in the parking lot would be limited to 5 cars.

Chairman Wietecki asked if there would be maintenance of vehicles or storage of trucks
or trailers on the site. Mr. Falk responded that there would not.

Member Wall asked if there would be vehicle sales, what kind of signage would be on the
site, if parking would be limited to 5 specific spots, what kind of vandalism concerns
there might be, and if there would be any additional fencing installed. Mike Falk
indicated that normally there would be sales after the useful life of the lease, that there
would be no signage, and that there was some potential vandalism risk.

13
