<br />City of Roseville <br />Planning Commission Minutes <br />July 12, 1995 <br /> <br />Member Wall stated that the city needs to spend time reviewing this matter. Member <br />Wall also pointed out that this current proposal is dependent on the approval of the <br />Western Auto proposal which is not a sure thing, because of potential neighborhood <br />opposition. He pointed out that if that proposal doesn't fly then there is no need for an <br />ordinance change. <br /> <br />Member Harms indicated that more information and discussion is needed and suggested <br />that this item should be tabled for further discussion. <br /> <br />Chairman Wietecki stated that the city should carefully decide where bingo halls should <br />be located and have more discretion - not less. <br /> <br />Member Wall pointed out that the holder of the bingo license is required to be a 501C <br />non-profit organization. <br /> <br />Member Rhody stated that the city should view very carefully any ordinance change. <br /> <br />Chairman Wietecki justified that more information is needed including how other cities <br />regulate bingo halls, and whether or not a Planned Unit Development requirement would <br />provide the necessary discretion. <br /> <br />MOTION: Chairman Wietecki moved and Member Wall seconded to continue <br />consideration of this matter until the August 9, 1995, Planning <br />Commission Meeting. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL: <br /> <br />Ayes: Wall, Sandstrom, Thein, Rhody, Harms, Wietecki <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />7 <br />
