<br />Planning Commission Minutes <br />November 8, 1995 <br /> <br />The consensus of the Planning Commission was not to request the establishment of a <br />study committee for flag lots. <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />(g) <br /> <br />Discussion concerninJ: the development of a policy re2ardinJ: the sites and <br />number of kiosks in parkine lots. Deferred to December meeting. <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />(h) <br /> <br />Tower Place <br /> <br />Community Development Director, Dennis Welsch provided a background report <br />regarding the Tower Place Business Park planning document which is now in the final <br />stages. <br /> <br />Member Harms stated she was impressed with the businesses and the sense of <br />community. She noted that the City should continue to include them in the process and <br />that traffic is a big issue in this area, especially near Oakcrest and Fairview. <br /> <br />Member Rhody stated he was impressed with the staff and the business people who <br />contributed to the process. He noted there was a good outline of the issues, options, <br />survey, and now there are directions to follow. <br /> <br />Council Member Goedeke stated that the input from the businesses was the most <br />important. <br /> <br />MOTION: Member Wietecki moved, seconded by Member Wall to accept the Tower <br />Place Business Park study report and to establish a formal Comprehensive Plan <br />amendment, public hearing for the December 13, 1995 Planning Commission meeting to <br />gather further public input on the study's direction for the future of the Tower Place <br />Business Park area and finally send out individual thank yous to members of the study <br />committee for their time and contribution. <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />Wietecki, Thein, Harms, Cunningham, Rhody , Wall <br /> <br />Nayes: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />The Planning Commission understood that once through the Comprehensive Plan public <br />hearing process, the Tower Place Business Park plan would be added to the <br />Comprehensive Plan as part of the commercial/industrial section much like the Twin <br />Lakes section. <br /> <br />8. <br /> <br />(a)&(b) <br /> <br />A discussion of the Plannin2 Commission Annual 1996 Work Plan <br /> <br />The Planning Commission deferred discussion and action until the December 1995 <br />meeting for the Planning Commission's Annual 1996 Work Program and for the annual <br />Comprehensive Plan amendment and revision process. <br /> <br />10 <br />
