<br />Planning Commission Meeting Minutes <br />November 13, 1996 <br /> <br />Commissioner Wietecki asked for details regarding reversion of property to <br />adjoining property. <br /> <br />Commissioner Sandstrom asked if parking could be allowed until such time as <br />the improvement is constructed. The vacation would not be filed until such time <br />as the conditions are met. <br /> <br />Chairperson Wietecki asked the Mack representatives to allow parking until <br />construction begins. <br /> <br />Stephan Helgason, architect, asked for time to meet with client, but felt that <br />within the next 6 months, no construction would occur and Chesley could <br />temporarily continue to park on the site. He expressed concern about the liability <br />for his client. <br /> <br />Jay Kennedy stated that the rights of road and parking would revert to Mack after <br />improvements are constructed. Mack Truck must apply for a permit to work in <br />the public right-of-way to make improvements. <br /> <br />MOTION: Member Harms moved, second by Member Wietecki to rescind <br />resolution (as per staff). <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br />Ayes: <br />Nayes: <br /> <br />Wietecki, Harms, Thein, Sandstrom <br />None <br /> <br />MOTION: Member Harms moved, second by Member Wietecki to recommend <br />approval of Twin City Mack Truck's request for the vacation of the north half of <br />County Road C-2 right-of-way, lying east of Long Lake Road/Partridge Road and <br />west of 135W subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. That the appropriate utility easements be granted subject to staff <br />approval. <br />2. That the required deferred assessments be paid. <br />3. That concrete curb and gutter be installed around the perimeter of the <br />existing and new parking areas. <br />4. That the entrance to the County Road C-2 right-of-way, from Long Lake <br />Road, be closed with concrete curb and gutter. <br />5. That the applicant provide an emergency overflow to the proposing <br /> <br />4 <br />
