Nays: None <br />7d.Planning File 2996. Old Dutch Foods, Inc., a request for vacation of an <br />existing sanitary sewer easement and acceptance of a new sanitary sewer <br />easement by the City (2375 Terminal Road). <br />Chair Harms opened the hearing and requested Kim Lee provide a summary of <br />the staff report dated April 8, 1998. Old Dutch is proposing to relocate an <br />existing sanitary sewer line in order to construct a building addition. Staff <br />offered three findings of fact and recommended approval. <br />There being no comments Chair Harms closed the hearing. <br />Motion: <br /> Member Mulder moved, Member Harms seconded, to recommend <br />approval of the request, by Old Dutch Foods,Inc., for vacation of a 20' sanitary <br />sewer easement and the acceptance of a new 18' sanitary sewer easement by <br />the City, based on the staff findings in report dated April 8, 1998. <br />Roll call:Ayes: Mulder, Harms, Olson, Klausing, Rhody, Wilke, Cunningham <br />Nays: None <br />Motion carried 7-0. <br />7e.Planning File 2997. City of Roseville, a request to vacate the public right- <br />of-way known as Dellwood Avenue from the southerly edge of the County <br />Road B-2 right-of-way approximately 600 feet south to the northerly edge <br />of the Highway 36 right-of-way. <br />Chair Harms opened the hearing and requested Jay Kennedy to summarize the <br />Dellwood vacation report dated April 8, 1998. <br />Jay Kennedy described the Dellwood Street vacation and the purposes for the <br />street (access, connection), and recommended approval of vacation while <br />retaining drainage and utility easements within the right-of-way. <br />Member Olson asked for details regarding ownership of church parcels. <br />Member Mulder commented tht the church could sell the adjoining houses - <br />would there be frontage. <br />Chair Harms asked for clarification of why the vacation was supported by the <br />owners. Jay Kennedy state the cost ($85,000) was the major impediment. <br />John Thein, Deputy School Superintendent, Roseville Area School District 622, <br />asked about rights to challenge the vacation. Is there a required number of <br />meetings that the City must hold with the property owners. Jay Kennedy noted <br />13 <br />
