rd,
the west half of the city is Saturday, April 3 from 9:00 to 11:00 at
Fairview Community Center. The second one is for those east of
th
Lexington and would be Monday, April 26, at the Parkview School.
These are opportunities for the public to come in and talk to the Council
about anything they have on their minds. Commission members are
invited to attend if possible.

5.Coordinated Spring Clean-up Effort

Carolyn Curti presented information on this topic. A Council member and
several Roseville residents have become concerned about the amount of
litter in Roseville and have spent time cleaning some highly visible areas
of the city. A Litter Committee has been formed. Efforts will be
concentrated in the spring right after the snow melts. A person has been
hired to get the program started.

Member Willenbring asked about whether Ramsey County will be
operating a hazardous materials dropoff again in June. Curti said she
didn’t know the details on that.

Member Willenbring asked about dredging ponds and wondered if there
was any plan to dig out the sediment that has collected there. Schwartz
said there isn’t at this time.

6.Ramsey County Road C – Phase II Update

Ramsey County held a public information meeting on February 19 for
residents of Roseville living adjacent to County Road C. They presented
their preferred design, which was provided to the Commission.

Member Willenbring questioned the existing right-of-way and the need to
expand the right-of-way east of Hamline. Schwartz said that is correct,
additional right-of-way will be required.

Member Wilke asked about whether there had been any discussion about
putting trees in the median and creating left-turn lanes all the way through
the project. Schwartz said that the difficulty with that was with all the
business driveways on the south side of the street. Wilke said they could
combine all businesses into one common driveway. Schwartz said
Ramsey County did look at that but didn’t think it was a viable option for
this location.

Schwartz restated comments and asked for more comments to take back to
the Council and Ramsey County:

Continue to find ways to consolidate driveways
Coordinate traffic signals better
Find better ways to plant trees to give them a better chance
Page 2 of 3
