<br />InfIltration. A stormwater retention method for the purpose of reducing the volume of <br />stormwater runoff by transmitting a flow of water into the ground through the earth's <br />surface. <br /> <br />InfIltration Area. An area that has been set aside or constructed for the purposes of <br />infiltration. <br /> <br />Land Disturbance. Any activity on property that results in a change or alteration in the <br />existing ground cover (both vegetative and non-vegetative) and/or the existing soil <br />topography. Land disturbing activities include, but are not limited to, development, <br />redevelopment, demolition, construction, reconstruction, clearing, grading, filling, <br />stockpiling, excavation and borrow pits. Road milling and overlay will not be considered <br />land disturbance. <br /> <br />Low Floor. The finished surface of the lowes <br /> <br /> <br />f a structure. <br /> <br />Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Syste e conveyance or system of <br />conveyances (including roads with drainag terns, municipal streets, catch basins, <br />curbs, gutter, ditches, man-made c orm drains): <br />1. Owned and operated by , borough, county, parish, district, <br />association, or other public (created by or pursuant to state law) having <br />jurisdiction over dis e e, industrial wastes, storm water, or other <br />wastes, including s cial dis . cts under state law or such as a sewer district, flood <br />control district or dr e' rict, or similar entity, or an Indian tribe or an <br />authorized Indian org n, or a designated and approved management <br />Agency under section 208 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C S 1288) that <br />discharges to waters of the United States; <br />2. Designed or used for collecting or conveying stormwater; <br />3. Which is not a combined sewer; and <br />4. Which is not part of a Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTE) as defined at 40 <br />CFR S 122.2. <br /> <br />Municipality. Any city wholly or partly within the Capitol Region Watershed District. <br /> <br />National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Stormwater Discharge <br />Permit.
