<br />/ . <br />/ c.::..-__iJ <br /> <br />( <br /> <br />"- <br />( <br /> <br />~ <br />( <br /> <br />( , <br />\." <br />, .,1 <br />-"-~.,,~...,.t <br />"- <br />( <br /> <br /> <br />Rules for the Roseville Human Rights Commission <br /> <br />Revised April 10, 1974 <br /> <br />Chapter I. <br /> <br />Name: The organization shall be called the <br />ROSEVILLE Hillf1A1\J RIGHfS COlviMISSION, subsequently <br />to be. referred to as the Commission. <br /> <br />Chapter II. <br /> <br />~rembers: The COTImrission shall consist of ten (10) <br />members to be appointed by the City Council. <br /> <br />Policy: It shall be the public policy of the City <br />of Roseville to fulfill its responsibility as a <br />partner with the State Department of Huamn Rights <br />in securing for all citizens equal opportunity in <br />housing, .employment, public accommodations, public <br />services and education, and to work consistently to <br />improve the human relations climate of the City of <br />Roseville. <br /> <br />Chapter IlL <br /> <br />Chapter IV. <br /> <br />Purpose: The purpose of the Commission is to secure <br />for all citizens equal opportunity in employment, <br />housing, public accommodations, public services, and <br />education and full participation in the affairs of this <br />community by assisting the State Department of Human <br />Rights in implementing the Minnesota State Act Against <br />Discrimination and by advising the City Council on long <br />range programs to improve community relations in the <br />City of Roseville. <br /> <br />Chapter V. <br /> <br />Organizational Structure: <br /> <br />A. Officers: The officers of the Commission shall be <br />the Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Recording Secretary - <br />Staff, Assistant and Chairman of specific committees. <br /> <br />1. Chaim.an: <br /> <br />(;1) Shall be elected annually at the regular <br />October meeting. <br /> <br />(b) Duties: The Chairman shall preside at <br />meetings of the COEssion. He shall appoint <br />members to the committees. He shall appoint <br />chairman of the committees. The Chairman shall <br />call special meetings if he deems necessary. <br />TIle Chairman shall be responsible for reporting <br />to the Councilor delegating other committee <br />members to give reports to the Council concern- <br />ing action of the Commission. <br />
