Norrgard volunteered. V. Gri evanee Update There were no grievances reported this month. A letter was sent by steve Sarkozy and Mary Helen Deutsch to Commissioner Beaulieu supporting a continued referral of grievances to local commissions. IV. Other Busines~ Human Rights Excellence Award: Borden collected the traveling plaque for the Human Rights Excellence Award to be placed in City Hall. Bancroft suggested that the Commission take a proactive approach to next year's award by going out into the Community and finding evidence of human rights excellence in addition to soliciting nominations through the press. Americans with Disabilities Act: Norrgard motioned that a resolution be adopted regarding Roseville's implementation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as follows: "All city facilities should be reviewed and assessed and steps undertaken to fully implement modifications to make such facilities accessible to people with physical impairments." Motion seconded by Anderson. All ayes. Family Violence Seminar: Norrgard reported that a family violence seminar will be held on May 21, 1992. Any members who are interested can contact him to receive an invitation. V. Next Meeting The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 1992 at 7:30 p.m. VI.
