League of Minnesota Human Rights Commissions (LMHRC) Annual Conference <br />Packet <br /> <br />Thelma McKenzie asked members to complete the LMHRC questionnaire and return <br />responses to her. She also encouraged members to attend the Annual Conference in <br />September. Let Carolyn Curti know by the end of August if you plan to attend. <br /> <br />Upcoming Meetings <br /> <br />Members discussed what they want to do through the rest of the year. The July meeting <br />will be a strategic planning meeting. Members will also select the chair and select the <br />2003 Essay Contest question at the July meeting. <br /> <br />Other <br /> <br />Members discussed updating the Human Rights brochure. Mark Chapin will get the list <br />of the state's Human Rights protected classes to include in the brochure. <br /> <br />The State of Minnesota has cut staff to handle Human Rights complaints. Members <br />discussed whether the Commission can/should increase its role. Carolyn Curti will get <br />information about the City's Intake of Charges process. <br /> <br />Minutes <br /> <br />Howard Wagner moved and Larry Voeller seconded approval of the February 2002 <br />minutes. Motion passed with Martha Hardesty abstaining. <br /> <br />Adiourmnent <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 8:15. <br />
