<br />get a few dates from the performer so the Commission can find a location and start promoting the <br />event. <br /> <br />Human Rights Commission Brochure Steve Zorn presented the final draft ofthe brochure. <br />Commission members suggested adding the Conflict Resolution Center to the resources and add thc <br />City's web address. Commission members thanked Zorn for his excellent work. Staff will edit the <br />layout and add the logo to the brochure and then print copies. Mark Chapin moved to approve the <br />brochure with the design changes. Howard Wagner seconded the motion. Motion passed. <br /> <br />Holiday Volunteer Project Steve Smith has been looking for a project that the Commission can <br />perf 01111 in Roseville. Commissioners discussed a variety of ideas including a food drive at the <br />schools, palinership with seniors, intergenerational project, speaking at the Citizens Forum, contacting <br />the Roseville Area Senior Program, students interviewing seniors about Human Rights issues or how <br />they contribute to the community and other ideas. Commission members said the volunteer project <br />should tie in with Human Rights issues. <br /> <br />Jacqueline LeMay, Steve Smith and Steve Zorn will bring suggestions to the September meeting. <br /> <br />HRC Website Mark Chapin reviewed other cities' Human Rights web pages. He found a range of <br />quality - some with a lot of information and some with the bare minimum. The Roseville HRC is <br />somewhere in the middle with room for improvement. Chapin will draft somc idcas and bring to the <br />September meeting. Phil Crump suggested that the Roseville's webpage to either add Commissions to <br />the front page or have a "drop down" under the City Council so that people can more easily find <br />Commissions. <br /> <br />Neighborhood Problems <br /> <br />Carolyn Curti read a thank you note to the Commission for the offer of support to a resident whose <br />family had received several comments or actions by a neighbor. The resident declined Commission <br />intervention at this time. <br /> <br />Miscellaneous <br /> <br />The League of Minnesota Human Rights Commissions annual conference is September 19 at Chaska. <br />Thelma McKenzie, Mark Chapin and Karen Vnuk will attend. Contact Carolyn Curti if you want to <br />attend. <br /> <br />Reminder: the September 9 meeting will be at the Skating Center and will begin at 8:01 p.m. <br /> <br />The October 14 meeting will be in the City Council Chambers, beginning at 7:00 pm. <br /> <br />The November 11 meeting date is changed to November 18 because the I11h is Veterans Day.
