<br />Rose of Many Colors Grant Application <br /> <br />Commissioner discussed a dance idea, peace exhibit, possibly peace poems from different <br />cultures. The application is due by October 20; Mark Chapin will work on the peace poems <br />proposal and Thelma McKenzie will work on the Mmiin Luther King "I Have a Dream" speech <br />grant proposal. <br /> <br />Holiday V olunteer Project <br /> <br />Steve Smith has traded telephone calls with the Roseville Community Center but he has no <br />infol1nation yet. <br /> <br />Website <br /> <br />Mark drafted sample web pages for the Roseville Human Rights Commission and distributed <br />them at the meeting. <br /> <br />Brochure <br /> <br />Steve Zom will add information regarding mediation services to the brochure. <br /> <br />Essay Contest <br /> <br />The Commission needs to go to the schools to increase the levels ofpmicipation. Howard <br />Wagner volunteered to drop off the question and materials at the Roseville schools. The <br />deadline for essays for Roseville was established as November 21,2003. The Commission will <br />do the first cut on December 9,2003. Winners will be decided on Tuesday, January 13, 2004. <br /> <br />The meeting adjoumed by unanimous vote upon motion by Mark Chapin and seconded by <br />Howard Wagner at 9:03 p.m. <br />
