HRC sends letter to LMHRC about DHR decision to no longer refer grievance cases <br /> <br />July 1997 <br />. Commissioners compare No Fault Grievance process to other cities' processes <br /> <br />May 1998 <br />. HRC discussed establishing Peer Mediation Program for Schools. Concern that teachers <br />do not model mediation behavior. HRC plans to send letter to schools offering assistance <br />to build mediation program. <br /> <br />June 1998 <br />. Questions arose about a person who spoke at a City Council meeting concerning her not <br />receiving good service from the police due to her race. It was suggested that police <br />representative attend a meeting to discuss her concerns. <br /> <br />November 1998 <br />. Complainant had not responded to bias inquiry <br /> <br />December 1998 <br />. Distributed a proposed resolution regarding police department's policy on high speed <br />chases.
