e~~a~ i C~ nail e~~i <br />~~day, Au~u~t Q6, 2 7 <br />Page ~ <br />Ms. Radel advised that, since the draft was posted on the City's web- <br />site, only one person (Mr. Sands) had provided comment on the draft. <br />Ms. Radel provided a Bench Handout entitled, "Twin Lakes Business <br />Park AUAR Update," representing a proposed timeline. <br />Councilmember Roe noted that the process provided fora 30-day <br />comment period, with final. adoption proposed far October ~, 2007 by <br />the City Council; further noting that the Council was not required to <br />adopt it then if they were not satisfied, and sought confirmation on his <br />statement by City Attorney Squires. <br />Mr. Squires advised that the City Council had a right to extend that <br />period for another 30 days to address specific questions and develop <br />additional information. <br />Discussion among Councilmembers related to upcoming agendas and <br />pending business before the City Council at their August meetings. <br />Councilmember Roe, upon clarification by City Attorney Squires, <br />supported receiving public comment at the August 20, 2007 Council <br />Study Session and staff's proposed schedule with language amend- <br />ments suggested by Councilmember Pust. <br />Public Comment <br />Al Sands, 2612 Aldine <br />Mr. Sands provided another bench handout. <br />Mr. Sands objected to staff attempting to impose time limits for public <br />comments and indicating that the draft document was "complete and <br />accurate" when additional input would be coming from public com- <br />menu. <br />Councilmember Pust clarified that the document was being prepared <br />for submission and was as "complete and accurate" as a draft could <br />be; with the City Council fully understanding that they would be re- <br />ceiving additional comment, and as indicated, those would be incor- <br />porated into considerations for a final document. <br />
