1Zegular City C®uncil eating <br />1VI®nday, July 23, 2007 <br />Page 15 <br />Staff was directed to provide additional information as discussed; <br />make minor language corrections in the draft ordinance; and to allow <br />time for public comment on the ordinance at the August 13, 2007 <br />regular meeting. <br />Councilmember Roe addressed a philosophical question regarding de- <br />lineating specific rules for private and public parking lots; or whether <br />a set of rules was needed for all parking lots in Roseville to provide <br />consistent standards across the board (i.e., designated "Police De- <br />partment Only" parking at Rosedale Shopping Center). <br />Councilmember Pust spoke in support of "firefighter only" parking <br />designation; however questioned if the public would be aware if they <br />were in a public versus private parking lot in all instances. <br />Councilmember Roe asked, if action were going to be delayed, that <br />staff provide additional clarification as to public and private parking <br />lots and existing prohibitions. <br />It was Council consensus that additional clarification of the proposed <br />ordinance amendment, .and review of overall parking restrictions in <br />public and private lots, was prudent at this time and requested that <br />staff provide the additional information as noted, and return for action <br />at the August 13, 2007 regular meeting. <br />
