We recommend that the proposed Twin Lakes Parkway, which has moved much closer to
the park than in the original AUAR, be returned to the location depicted in the Twin
Lakes AUAR Future Land Use Scenario of June 26, 2001. We recommend this as a
necessary measure to insure the integrity of the parkland and lake habitat. The noise,
light, potential for traffic caused v4~ildlife deaths, additional air pollution, and possible
contamination of the Iake by runoff of roadway chemicals is a clear threat to the habitat
values of Langton Lake Park.
We hope these suggestions and recommendations will help you to design a plan that
protects this valuable resource, Langton Lake and surrounding park lands, and provides
benefit to your residents.
Sincerely,
Carrol Henderson, Supervisor
Nongame Wildlife Program Supervisor
__ J'.~c
C~-Ct/v~ e~--
Joan Galli
Nongame Wildlife Specialist
Copy to: Ms. Joy Anderson
