Mayor Klausing spoke to the recent situation and appointment of Mr. Maschka for two terms, upon advice of the City Attorney in an at- tempt to save time and need for additional action; and his personal misunderstanding of the term of appointment. Mayor Klausing opined that it was an odd situation, and he didn't foresee coming up again in the future, further opining that in hindsight, he would have handled the appointment differently. Roe moved, Pust seconded, adoption of Resolution No. 10541 enti- tled, "A Resolution to Define the Appointment and Reappointment Process, Eligibility, and Term Limits for the Members of the Board of the Housing & Redevelopment Authority In and For the City of Rose- ville;" as amended: Page 1, Title [To Define the Appointment and Reappointment process, ~~ for the Members of the Board of the Housing and Redevel- opment Authority In and For the City of Roseville] Page 2, Procedure Statement: I.E, Applicants will be interviewed at the established meeting(s) by the Mayor and City Council. The Chair of the HRA Board will be invited to attend and participate in the interviews. The interviews will be open to the pub- lic. The Ma oY r may elect to eliminate any applicants from consideration with reasonable notice to such applicants and the City Council prior to the established date of applicant interviews• and specifically noting that the 60-day appointment requirement prior to term expiration in Section II.A. will not apply to the upcoming HRA term expirations, due to the timing of action on this resolution. Roll Call Ayes: Ihlan; Pust; Kough; Roe; and Klausing. Nays: None. Mayor Klausing briefly reviewed remaining agenda items indicating action on a future agenda.
