Discuss Relationship of Comprehensive Plan Update to <br />Imagine Roseville 2025 <br />Interim Community Development Director Mike Darrow provided an update to the <br />Commission on the Comprehensive Plan Update prior to presentation of materials <br />and discussion with the City Council and Planning Commission at their upcoming joint <br />meeting scheduled for Monday, August 20, 2007. <br /> <br />Mr. Darrow reviewed current (2003) Comprehensive Plan contents outlining the <br />specific section, responsible department, and recommended update process; and an <br />updated staff-projected process and timeline for completing the document and <br />submission of a draft to neighboring jurisdictions, and ultimately the Metropolitan <br />Council. <br /> <br />Mr. Darrow advised of their initial meetings with the three consultant finalists, and the <br />matrix provided for the City Council with each firm’s responses to staff questions. Mr. <br />Darrow noted that staff’s goal was to achieve a consensus of pending process issues, <br />including interviews and hiring of the consultant, with interviews currently scheduled in <br />the afternoon and hiring action anticipated at the August 27, 2007 City Council <br />meeting; Council approval for the make-up of the steering committee and proposed <br />meeting schedule; and firm development of the punch list on those sections requiring <br />completion under State Statute by the Metropolitan Council, and those sections <br />allowing for more consideration or later development. <br /> <br /> <br />
