Meeting Cancellation -Approve Cancellation of the November 12, 2007 City Council Meeting Councilmember Roe expressed concern, and Mayor Klausing and Councilmembers Pust, Ihlan and Kough concurred, that canceling the meeting would lead to similar scheduling and overloaded agendas similar to what happened in July when a meeting was cancelled. Councihnember Pust suggested meeting on Monday, October 29tH or Monday, November Stn Discussion included upcoming agenda topics. Councilmember Roe opined that the City Council should be proactive and schedule a meeting, which could be cancelled if it determined it was not necessary. Councilmember Ihlan opined that the schedule should be revisited in October as agenda items and schedules become finalized. Roe moved, Pust seconded, authorizing the City Manager to resched- ule et~teel the November 12, 2007 City Council meeting due to the Veteran's Day Holiday to November 5, 2007; and provide due public and published notice as applicable. Roll Call Ayes: Roe; Pust; Ihlan; Kough; and Klausing. Nays: None. h. Heating System for Roseville Skating Center Project -Approve Installation of Heating System for Entrance Steps and Sidewalk Area as Part of the Roseville Skating Center Project City Manager Malinen reviewed the request for Council action for in- stallation on in-concrete heating system for the entrance steps and sidewalk area as a part of the Roseville Skating Center project. City Manager Malinen added that initial costs had been much higher; but through negotiations with the current contractor, opined that the nego- tiated costs for installation would outweigh maintenance and opera- tional costs, as well as from a risk perspective in minimizing potential hazards.
