Chief Gasaway displayed the recently-presented Residential Fire Safety In- stitute 2006 Life Safety Achievement Award awarded to the Roseville Fire De- partment. Chief Gasaway introduced Fire Marshal John Loftus and Fire Inspector Doug Johnson and recognized their efforts and overall benefit to the community through those efforts. Fire Marshal Loftus advised that it was only through day-to-day education and at- tention to detail that allowed results to be seen; and noted that the cumulative ef- fort over time and early training efforts of small children at a young age of fire safety education were now becoming evident as they reached young adulthood, and were doing things more safely. Mayor Klausing thanked the Fire Department staff for their work on behalf of the City's safety, and led in a round of applause recognizing this accomplishment. 6. Approve Minutes a.
