Chief Gasaway displayed the recently-presented Residential Fire Safety In- <br />stitute 2006 Life Safety Achievement Award awarded to the Roseville Fire De- <br />partment. <br />Chief Gasaway introduced Fire Marshal John Loftus and Fire Inspector Doug <br />Johnson and recognized their efforts and overall benefit to the community through <br />those efforts. <br />Fire Marshal Loftus advised that it was only through day-to-day education and at- <br />tention to detail that allowed results to be seen; and noted that the cumulative ef- <br />fort over time and early training efforts of small children at a young age of fire <br />safety education were now becoming evident as they reached young adulthood, <br />and were doing things more safely. <br />Mayor Klausing thanked the Fire Department staff for their work on behalf of the <br />City's safety, and led in a round of applause recognizing this accomplishment. <br />6.
