Regular City Council Meeting <br />Monday, November 19, 2007 <br />Page 7 <br />Ayes: Roe: Pust; Kough; Ihlan; and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />Councilmember Ihlan suggested additional language to parallel State Statute lan- <br />guage related to five (5) regular business days, for consistency purposes. <br />City Attorney Squires suggested adding language to Section 501.10 (Impounding) <br />after language related to five (5) regular business days, [as defined by State Stat- <br />uteJ,... as suggested by Councilmember Ihlan. Councilmembers concurred by <br />consensus. <br />Mayor Klausing opined that while the suggestions made by Councilmembers <br />served to improve the end product, he respectfully requested Councilmembers to <br />attempt to address their suggestions and/or questions to staff, the City Attorney, <br />or applicable parties prior to meeting time in order to avoid lengthy discussions <br />and revising of documents at the bench. <br />Public Comment <br />Carol Kough <br />Ms. Kough referenced Section 2132 of federal law related to impounding by con- <br />tract; noting the provision for keeping accurate and complete records kept by shel- <br />ter; as well as by the Police Department. <br />Roe moved, Pust seconded, enactment of Ordinance No. 1355 entitled, "An Ordi- <br />nance Amending Title Five, Sections 501.01 - 501.14; 510.19 - 501.20; and <br />501.24 - 501.251, Police Regulations, Animal Control; and Title Three, Section <br />401.03, Business Regulations, License and Permit Fees;" as amended. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Roe: Pust; Kough; Ihlan; and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />Roe moved, Pust seconded, approval of the official summary of Ordinance No. 1355 entitled, <br />"An Ordinance Amending Title Five, Sections 501.01 - 501.14; 510.19 - 501.20; and 501.24 - <br />501.251, Police Regulations, Animal Control; and Title Three, Section 401.03, Business Regula- <br />tions, License and Permit Fees;" and authorizing publication of said summary; as amended to <br />replace 'microchipped' with 'electronically tagged' in all instances. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Roe: Pust; Kough; Ihlan; and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />Mayor Klausing thanked Councilmember Pust for her work on this ordinance. <br />
