Consider Appointment to the Public Works, Environment and Transporta- tion Commission Applicants previously interviewed in March of 2007 included Glenn R. Cook; John Kysylyczyn; and Dwayne Stenlund. Klausing moved, Ihlan seconded, appointment of Dwayne Stenlund to serve as a member of the City's Public Works, Environment and Transportation Commis- sion, to complete a term scheduled to expire on March 31, 2010. Roll Call Ayes: Roe; Ihlan; Pust; and Klausing. Nays: Kough g. Consider Appointment of a Councihnember to the Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee Councilmember Kough advised that, due to his current meeting schedule, he was unable to serve on the Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee; and recom- mended appointment of Councilmember Ihlan to replace him, rather than his original suggestion of Councilmember Pust, in consideration of current assign- ments. Kough moved, Roe seconded, appointment of Councilmember Ihlan to serve on the Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee, replacing Councilmember Kough at his request. Mayor Klausing expressed disappointment that more discussion had not been held, and that he had not been considered to serve on this Committee; noting that he deferred to other Councilmembers to serve on other committees and boards. Mayor Klausing noted that he held a special interest in this group, since he'd served as former Chair of the Planning Commission, and that his current schedule allowed him time to serve. Roll Call Ayes: Kough; Roe; Ihlan; Pust; and Klausing. Nays: None. Pust moved, Ihlan seconded, appointment of Mayor Klausing as an alternate to serve on behalf of Councilmember Roe and/or Ihlan if either were unable to at- tend ameeting of the Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee.
