Bids were opened November 23, 1999. <br />The specifications require service at City Hall, public work garage, three fire stations, golf course, skating <br />center, activity center and four locations in Central Park Haulers were asked to bid the total two year <br />contract cost and a cubic yard cost for waste removal in excess of the amount described in the specifications <br />which averages less than 100 cubic yards per year. <br />The following bids were received: <br />Bidder <br />BFI Waste Systems <br />Red Arrow <br />Aspen Waste Systems <br />Vasko Rubbish Removal <br />Walter's Recycling & Refuse <br />Two vears of service <br />$22,854,00 <br />$23,475 .00 <br />$26,240.00 <br />$31,997.00 <br />$37,704.00 <br />The cost of the previous two year contract was $22,966.00. <br />Financial <br />The funds for waste removal are included in departmental budgets. <br />Cubic vard cost <br />$8.00 <br />$5.00 <br />$6.00 <br />$10.00 <br />$3.63 <br />Staff Recommendation <br />It is recommended the bid be awarded to BFI Waste Systems in the low bid amount of $22,$54.00. <br />Council Action Requested <br />Motion awarding the bid for waste removal from City of Roseville public facilities for the period January 1, <br />2000 through December 3 1, 2002 to BFI Waste Systems in the bid amount of $22,854.00 and $8 .00 per cubic <br />yard for waste removal in excess of the amount described in the specifications. <br />
