Regular City Council Meeting <br />Monday, July 21, 2008 <br />Page 5 <br />City Attorney Jay Squires advised that City Code allowed for reasonable condi- <br />tions to apply, and recommended that the City Council include a condition that <br />they retained the right to revisit and re-evaluate the extended hours if complaints <br />were received. <br />Councilmember Ihlan requested that such language be included for both requests. <br />Mr. Gunderson from Haglin & Sons anticipated that the work would be approxi- <br />mately a two-three week span. <br />Mayor Klausing closed the Public Hearing at 6:20 p.m., with no one appearing for <br />or against. <br />Klausing moved, Pust seconded, approval of a variance to Roseville City Code, <br />Section 405.03 HOURLY RESTRICTIONS OF CERTAIN OPERATIONS, ex- <br />tend working hours for C. F. Haglin & Sons, Inc. for Rosedale Center construc- <br />tion; granting a variance permitting construction during the dates of July 22, 2008 <br />to November 14, 2008 from 1:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.; subject to the City Council <br />retaining the right to revisit and re-evaluate the extended hours if complaints are <br />received. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Roe; Pust; Willmus; Ihlan and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />b. Request to Extend Working Hours for Snelling /County Road B Project <br />City Engineer Bloom advised that Bolander and Son was serving as the General <br />Contractor for MnDOT on this project; and was also present to respond to any <br />questions or comments of the City Council. <br />Ms. Bloom advised that mailed notice had been provided to property owners <br />within 350' of the entire corridor, including those residents along the frontage <br />road, in addition to published and posted notice. Ms. Bloom provided, as a bench <br />handout, two written comments regarding this item, both supporting the request in <br />order to expedite the construction project. <br />Mayor Klausing opened and closed the Public Hearing at 7:22 p.m., with no one <br />appearing for or against. <br />Ihlan moved, Roe seconded, approval of a variance to Roseville City Code, Sec- <br />tion 405.03 HOURLY RESTRICTIONS OF CERTAIN OPERATIONS, extend <br />working hours for Carl Bolander and Sons, as general contractor for the Minne- <br />sota Department of Transportation's (MnDOT's) Snelling Avenue Project, grant- <br />ing avariance permitting construction during the weekend dates of July 26, 2008 <br />to August 30, 2008, with work to start at 7:00 a.m. daily, and Sundays, from July <br />27 - ~~9 Au ug st 31 to start work at 7:00 a.m.; subject to the City Council <br />
