Pust moved, Klausing seconded, enactment of Official Summary of Ordinance No.1361 entitled, "An Ordinance Amending Title 9 by Adding Section 907 to the City of Roseville City Code Regarding Registration of Residential Rental Prop- erty of 1 to 4 Units." Harriet Alexander Nature Center Planning Committee Final Report Assistant Parks & Recreation Director Jill Anfang noted that in January of 2007, the City Council authorized staff to work with the Parks and Recreation Commis- sion to establish a volunteer subcommittee to study the Harriet Alexander Nature Center (HANG). Ms. Anfang noted that Richard "Jake" Jacobson, had been ap- pointed by the Commission as the group's facilitator, and that the volunteer sub- committee, the "Harriet Alexander Nature Center (HANG) Planning Committee," had been formed to study, analyze, and guide HANG in short and long-term op- portunities and to align HANG with Imagine Roseville 2025 visioning. At this time, Ms. Anfang introduced Mr. Jacobson to present a series of recommenda- tions to the City Council from this study. Richard "Jake" Jacobson There were 18 committee members: Sarah Brodt Lenz; Stacey Dahlstrom; Col- leen Gabor; Amy Ihlan; Jake Jacobson; Monte Johnson; Dorothy Labrash; Julie Larson; Rose Masanz; Marcy McNeal; James McNeal; Sarah McNeal; Gale Pe- derson; Nancy Robbins; Jeff Seifiiz; Jim Stark; Rich Strauman; and Bob Willmus. Mr. Jacobson recognized those committee members attending tonight's meeting and in the audience: Jim, Sarah & Marcy McNeal; Jeff Seifriz; Gale Pederson; and Dorothy Labrash, and thanked them for their exceptional service and noted their specific areas of expertise that they brought to the study. Mr. Jacobson provided a summary of the HANG Planning Committee Report, dated February 21, 2008, and provided in its entirety as a part of the agenda packet materials for tonight's meeting. Mr. Jacobson noted that the first meeting of the group was held in April of 2007, and that the group had met nine times and were charged with addressing and providing recommendation regarding HANC's direction, priorities and finances; with those recommendations presented to the Parks and Recreation Commission at their March 3, 2008 meeting, and now sub- mitted to the City Council. •
