Regular City Council Meeting <br />Monday, September 15, 2008 <br />Page 5 <br />Councilmember Ihlan noted several significant changes from the Plan presented at the re- <br />cent public open house; and alerted people interested in the scope of retail development <br />in Roseville to carefully review that portion of the Plan specific to regional retail designa- <br />tion and removal of existing master plans from the Comprehensive Plan; and encouraged <br />public comment and participation in the approval process. <br />5. Recognitions, Donations, Communications <br />a. Accept Donation of .223 Rifle from Lt. Rosand <br />Lt. Lorne Rosand was available on behalf of the Police Department to present this <br />donation to the department; noting that it was the same rifle carried in squads and <br />used in tactical teams. Lt. Rosand opined that he was glad to give something back <br />to the City who had served him so well over the last 24 years. <br />Pust moved, Willmus seconded, acceptance of a .223 rifle donated by Roseville <br />Police Lieutenant Lorne Rosand to be used by the East Metro Swat Team, valued <br />at $899.00. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Roe; Ihlan; Willmus; Pust; and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />Mayor Klausing thanked Lt. Rosand for his service to the community, and for this <br />donation. <br />b. Accept Donation of $500 from Target Corporation <br />Lt. Rosand noted the donation in July of 2008 from Target Corporation of <br />$500.00 to the City's Police Department to purchase supplies needed for the <br />City's 2008 National Night Out Program. <br />Klausing moved, Roe seconded, acceptance of a $500.00 donation from Target <br />Corporation to the City of Roseville Police Department, with funds used to pur- <br />chase handouts for distribution at neighborhood block parties for the City's 2008 <br />National Night Out Program. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Roe; Ihlan; Willmus; Pust; and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />c. Accept Donation of $100 from Residential Mortgage <br />Lt. Rosand noted two donations to the Police Department from Residential Mort- <br />gage Group through their "Refer a friend, Build your community" program, al- <br />lowing individuals who obtain a loan through the agency the option of donating <br />$40 to a school, police or fire department in their local community. <br />Pust moved, Ihlan seconded, acceptance of a donation of $100.00 from Residen- <br />tial Mortgage Group to the Roseville Police Department through their "Refer a <br />
